Considered to be the "Bank to the Stars," City National Bank has improved their method of technology and has utilized the Microsoft Surface Pro tablet.

"Earlier this year, there was an initiative that we undertook to really look at the technology we had and see what opportunities existed," said City National Bank's Senior Vice President of Business and Technology Services Jim Ellaboudy. "We looked at multiple options out there, and as soon as we saw the Surface device, we recognized right away that this was a unique device that really fit the bill for what we are looking for."

According to Ellaboudy, he has seen no difference in how he connects to the network, and the Surface tablet is the first device fellow colleagues can use on the road, at home, or in the office.

City National Bank's Senior Vice President Joe Sedillo revealed the bank has been using the Surface Pro tablet for approximately seven months. One of the ways the Surface Pro tablet has been used is by greeting new clients with the device and showcase the bank's options such as mobile banking and fast deposit.

"It really is efficient, it's effective, it's user friendly," added Sedillo.

City Bank National's Relationship Banker Jeff Sohn stated the Surface Pro tablet has replaced his desktop and laptop since the Surface acts like a full-serviced computer.

"People are changing the way they're banking," said Ellaboudy. "Surface allows us to empower our mobile colleagues while providing the type of extraordinary service our clients expect."
