Ex lovers Tom Cruise and Penelope Cruz reunited in London, England on Wednesday night.

According to a report from E! News, the two ran into each other at the sophisticated Mayfair restaurant Scotts, with Cruz accompanied by her longtime best friend, Mexican actress Salma Hayek. After the meal, 52-year-old Cruise went out of the restaurant "looking positively giddy" with "a smidge of bright red lipstick planted on his cheek."

It's unknown which of the two actresses left the lipstick mark on the actor's face.

Cruz and Hayek, meanwhile, shared a big hug before bidding each other goodbye, the news outlet noted.

Cruise and Cruz started dating in 2001, the same year when the flick "Vanilla Sky" they both starred in came out. They broke up in 2004, Latina reported. The "Mission: Impossible" star then married and divorced Katie Holmes. They have a daughter named Suri.

Cruz, on the other hand, is now married to fellow Spaniard Javier Bardem.

Penelope Cruz in 'This Man, This Woman'

Penelope Cruz is set to star in Spanish director Isabel Coixet's latest offering titled "This Man, This Woman." The two women previously worked together in the 2008 drama "Elegy," Fox News Latino reported.

Joining Cruz is German actress Diane Kruger, Deadline noted. The film's script will be penned by Frederick Raphael ("Eyes Wide Shut") and, as Deadline reported, it will revolve around a character named Matt Heller and Cruz's Martha Parks, as they "encounter each other by chance on a plane, and relive memories of their turbulent romantic relationship." Kruger will portray Kirsty Sachs, "a talk show host who has an affair with Heller and changes the course of his whirlwind relationship with Parks," the outlet added.

Cruz will also star in the follow-up to the comedy film "Zoolander" alongside Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor, according to a report from TIME.

'Mission: Impossible 5'

Cruise is also busy with his film commitments. The actor is set to reprise his Ethan Hunt role in the fifth installment of the "Mission: Impossible" franchise.

Just recently, The Hollywood Reporter stated that the upcoming film will get an IMAX treatment when it comes out in theaters worldwide on July 31. Paramount Pictures and Skydance, the production companies behind "Mission: Impossible 5," moved the release date from Christmas 2015 to July 31.

"Imax is so important in giving the audience the best experience of the film we have made. I am very happy to have this partnership on the next 'Mission'," Cruise said, as quoted by The Hollywood Reporter.

The movie also stars Jeremy Renner, Alec Baldwin, Rebecca Ferguson, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, and Sean Harris, with Christopher McQuarrie in the director's chair, the news outlet reported.
