Tom Hiddleston eerily portrays another mysterious character as seen in the new trailer for Guillermo de Toro's new film, "Crimson Peak," which fittingly dropped on Friday the 13^th. Full of scary scenes that could make the hairs on the back of your neck curl, E! News noted that the story follows an aspiring writer who falls in love while he's being consumed by a house that is said to breathe, bleed, and remember.

Starring alongside Hiddleston are Mia Wasikowska, Jessica Chastain, and Charlie Hunnam, and the trailer opens with a statement, "Ghosts are real, this much I know."

The trailer then goes to show that there are strange happenings in Hiddleston's Gothic mansion, and the set with creepy dolls and bloodied ghosts, it's definitely fitting to get a warning: "beware of Crimson Peak."

The Victorian-era England set is to debut on October 16, a fitting Halloween flick, considering the haunted house and scary ghosts theme. Screenrant also noted that it will showcase a rather adult content, with gore, sex, and violence. Business Insider compared the premise of "Crimson Peak" to "The Fall of the House of Usher" and Stephen King's "Rose Red," and if these are any indication, it would definitely be a film to keep you up at night.

The website, Torrilla noted the official film synopsis, which read "A young woman (Wasikowska) is swept off by her feet by a charismatic suitor (Hiddleston) and taken back to his ancestral home. There she finds more than she bargained for, including a jealous sister (Chastain) and more than a few skeletons in the closet."

The film will focus on Spanish horror, which director Del Toro has already dabbled in with "Pan's Labyrinth" and "Cronos." Speaking about "Crimson Peak," he told the website, Shock Till You Drop, that it "is a much, much, much smaller movie, completely character-driven. It's an adult movie, an R-rated movie, pretty adult. Shockingly different from anything I've done in the English language. Normally, when I go to do a movie in America for the spectacle and younger audience, for Blade or whatever. This movie's tone is scary and it's the first time I get to do a movie more akin to what I do in the Spanish movies."

"Crimson Peak" marks del Toro's return to the horror genre, but it's not the only project that he's been working on. According to Variety, he is also prepping for "Pacific Rim 2," which the director marked to premiere in theaters on April 7, 2017.
