"House of Cards" season 3 premieres in two weeks, but if you're fast enough, you may have caught a glimpse of the political drama when a Netflix glitch accidentally released the entire season three last Wednesday. Yes, that's right, all thirteen episodes for the new season was leaked online.

Unfortunately for the fans, their celebration is short-lived. According to Reuters, the drama starring Kevin Spacey as the scheming President Frank Underwood was taken down 20 minutes after it was posted, with the streaming service blaming the incident on a malfunction. A statement from Netflix said, "Due to a technical glitch, some Frank Underwood fans got a sneak peak [sic]. He'll be back on Netflix on Feb. 27."

Twitter blew up with updates regarding the leak, and fans were in a frenzy as they dove to watch the series. Unfortunately, it was taked down before they could even finish an episode, although some viewers were said to have kept their streaming episodes before the entire season was pulled off.

Instead of getting angry about the leak, the official "House of Cards" Twitter account sent a tongue-in-cheek comment about the glitch, saying, "This is Washington. There's always a leak."

The tweet continued on to confirm the release date, and it's definitely not yet in the stars, as "all 13 episodes will launch February 27.

If you are yet to catch up on the series, the Daily Mail noted that "House of Cards" is set in present-day Washington DC, and it revolves around Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey), a democrat from the 5th congressional district from South Carolina. Along with his wife Claire, (Robin Wright) the story is all about political games and manipulation as the couple tries to gain more power.

It hasn't been a charmed life for season 3, as this was not the first bump in the road for Netflix this season: for instance, the production team almost had to move their set due to tax reasons, Netflix was offered only $4 million in tax benefits as opposed to the $26 million for the first two seasons.

However, the matter was settled within weeks as the incentives were raised to $15 million, and shooting began soon after.

"House of Cards" will be released for real as planned, on February 27, with all thirteen episodes available on the streaming service website. What did you think of the premature release, should Netflix have kept the episodes online, or were they right to take them down and let fans wait for another two weeks?
