It's femme fatal in the Marvel Universe as the company welcomes Earth's mightiest heroines in their new series, "A Force," and they have a Hulk.

According to USA Today, Marvel Comics's band of female superheroes include She-Hulk, Dazzler, Medusa, and Nico Minoru. The series, which is written by G. Willow Wilson (Mrs Marvel and X-Men) and Marguerite Bennett (Angela: Asgard's Assassin), and drawn by Jorge Molina (X-Men), will debut in time with Marvel' Secret Wars Event.

Expected to launch by spring, this new band of heroes find themselves in a world where the Avengers have disbanded and all that's left is a patchwork of landscape in the form of the Battleworld.

According to Marvel's website, "A-Force" will be within the "Warzones" of Secret Wars. It "reimagines the Marvel Universe in one of the largest shake-ups to the Avengers mythos."

Marvel has been trying to address gender diversity for a while now, which is why the company gave Wilson and her editor, Daniel Ketchum, the "keys to the castle" and be in charge of a new team of characters, the only caveat being that all of them should be female. Wilson said, "It feels almost like a great honor to be given the reins on something that has become so central to the narrative at Marvel and a big cinematic property as well. They've become very committed in the last couple of years to telling new stories, to gender diversity, to getting more voices out there so they said, 'Here's the roster. Go nuts.' "

Wilson also added, "She-Hulk, Dazzler, Medusa, Nico Minoru and other fan favorites, will take charge. We've purposefully assembled a team composed of different characters from disparate parts of the Marvel U, with very different power sets, identities and ideologies."

Huffington Post also noted that the creators of "A Force" are supposed to be full of new characters that will set them apart from Marvel's superhero universe. Bennett said in a statement, "Our heroines embody the ideals of what we can each strive to be."

Ketch also added, "This new series will unite Marvel's mightiest heroines with the exceptionally creative minds of writers G. Willow Wilson and Marguerite Bennett to craft a story full of epic battles, personal triumphs, and heart-stopping peril ... and an all-new character who will push the boundaries of diversity in comic books even further."

What do you think of the latest band of superheroes from Marvel, do you think "A Force" can ever live up to the epic name of the Avengers, or will they not appeal as much?
