Take-Two Interactive has provided an overview of what to expect from its next fiscal year, as well as the indefinite future. While specific details have been scarce, the company generously gave interesting insights to followers.
As you may have expected, the sequels to 2K's "NBA" and "WWE" titles are bound to arrive. Moviepilot added that the PS4 and Xbox One will see "Borderlands 3" with actual graphic improvements.
Interestingly, the publisher has confirmed that new releases from its "proven franchises" will be coming, Gamepur reported. However, it's uncertain which titles are actually getting sequels, although speculations can surface based on the success of their sales.
That said, the outlet predicted the arrival of "Red Dead Redemption 2," which of course, stands ground as one of Rockstar's well-received franchises.
From its recent financial conference call, Take-Two's remarks were noted by VG 24/7, "Looking further ahead, we have a robust pipeline of titles in development, including ground breaking new intellectual properties, and new releases from our proven franchises."
"In addition, we have numerous unannounced titles in development, as well as innovative offerings designed to maximize player engagement and drive recurring consumer spending," the company went on.
On the downside, Take-Two has declined to comment on the idea of a holiday Rockstar title, DualShockers reported.
Talks surrounding the sequel of "Red Dead Redemption" have been around since 2014. More recently, an outlet has heard that "Red Dead Redemption 2" arrives in November 2015, which puts us at a distance of ten months.
As we have previously reported, the game is also purported to have an integrated co-op feature. One user from a NeoGAF thread has claimed speaking with an insider, "So I spoke to an insider at Rockstar who confirmed that Rockstar is indeed developing a sequel to 'Red Dead Redemption' for PS4 / Xbox One. Don't have a lot of concrete details but expect co-op to be integrated and focused on."
Word along the grapevine also has it that John Marston's descendant will star in the likewise-rumored "Grand Theft Auto VI." Such spin-off is an open choice, since "Red Dead Redemption" and "GTA" are franchises under Rockstar's hands.
There have also been allegations claiming that the next "Red Dead" game sets off with a different title, being "Red Dead Revolution."
In the meantime, players can look forward to the release of 2K Games' "Evolve." The title launches on Feb. 10, the Examiner noted. Developed by Turtle Rock Studios, the competitive shooter comes for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
