The scene where Bobbi Kristina Brown, 21, was found unconscious on Jan. 31, was reminiscent of where her famous mother was found dead almost three years ago, spawning all sorts of connections.

The daughter of the late Whitney Houston to ex-husband Bobby Brown was found unresponsive in a bathtub on Saturday, in her home in Roswell, Georgia, BBC reported, citing police reports.

Houston died Feb. 11, 2012, in a bath at the Beverly Hilton hotel in Los Angeles, apparently of accidental drowning from the effects of cocaine and heart disease, Forbes recalled.

In what TMZ labeled an "eerie" developing story, Bobbi Kristina was brought to an Atlanta-area hospital by her husband Nick Gordon and a friend, who have done CPR on her until the paramedics arrived.

It added that it was unclear why Bobbi Kristina fell unconscious, but a 911 call from her home alerted authorities to the incident.

A history of drug abuse?

In 2011, the Daily Mail reported that Bobbi Kristina was allegedly dealing with cocaine addiction, having been photographed by her ex-boyfriend, allegedly snorting white powder. Cocaine addiction has hounded both her parents.

Daily Mail's unnamed source said: "I've tried to stop her ... But all she said was, 'I'm just like my mother!' Whitney needs to see what her daughter is doing to herself. If Krissi doesn't stop soon, this addiction to cocaine will kill her."

The hospital where she was admitted has not commented on her condition yet, according to another BBC report.

However, according to My Fox Atlanta, no drugs or prescription medications were found in the home. Bobbi Kristina's husband and three others who were at the home were already interviewed by police.

"We're told police took over life-saving measures on the scene -- and then she was taken by ambulance to a hospital," said TMZ. "Doctors have now stabilized her breathing, and we're told she is in ICU."

TMZ reported that Bobbi's brain swelled and she was placed under coma. Hours later, Bobby arrived at the hospital, with family friend Tyler Perry, who reportedly lent his private jet and was willing to also lend his home for Bobbi Kristina's recovery.

People said it would take a miracle for her to survive what is believed to be the effect of an undetermined amount of time without oxygen. The report added that she has not regained consciousness and is on a respirator with little brain activity.

Statement from the family

Bobby's attorney released a statement to media outlets, in his client's behalf: "Privacy is requested in this matter. Please allow for my family to deal with this matter and give my daughter the love and support she needs at this time."

Meanwhile, the Houston side of the family also gave a brief update on Bobbi Kristina's condition: "Bobbi Kristina is fighting for her life and is surrounded by immediate family."

"This is [Bobby's] worst nightmare... Losing Whitney was hard, but this is a million times worse, and to lose her in the same way would devastate him," a family source told People.
