It was a great comeback for the New England Patriots on Sunday's Super Bowl XLIX as the team beat the Seattle Seahawks with a 28-24 victory.

It was obvious that the team was carried by their lead player Tom Brady, who according to CNN, sacked and twice intercepted to claim the win for his team during the game held in Glendale, Arizona.

Aside from Brady, Patriots rookie Malcolm Butler also proved to be very helpful in the team's victory. He "made a game-saving interception when the Seahawks, with the ball on the one-yard line and seconds to play, mysteriously chose to pass after an improbable, juggling miracle-catch by Jermaine Kearse," CNN explained.

"I just had a vision that I was going to make a big play and it came true," Butler told CNN.

For his part, Brady said that it was indeed a very good play for the team. "This has been a long journey. I've been at it for 15 years. This one came down to the end and this time, we made the plays. Our defense, what can you say about them? Malcolm, what a play. For a rookie to make a play like that and win us the Super Bowl is unbelievable," he added.

On the other hand, Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll told ESPN that the team did their best to win the game.

"For it to come down to a play like that, I hate that we have to live with that... because we did everything right to win the football game," Carroll said.

Aside from the amazing gameplay, the Super Bowl was also graced by great performances from Idina Menzel who sang the national anthem and Katy Perry who performed during the halftime show.

The Daily Beast said that Mendel's performance was lovely and that she seemed not to choke with the said live performance and did the anthem justice.

Katy Perry's grand entrance using a giant mechanical tiger will definitely go down in history as one of the best sequences on stage. The back-up dancers dressed as sharks, beach balls and palm trees add to the amazing performance during half-time. BBC noted that the singer performed for 12 minutes in an appearance that also featured Lenny Kravitz and rapper Missy Elliot.

BBC added that the California Girls singer even had one of her right-hand fingers tattooed with the Latin numeral "XLIX" for the 49th Super Bowl.

She ended her performance with the song "Firework" as real pyrotechnics went off above her. Perry joined the list of elite stars who were previously chosen to perform in the Super Bowl like Madonna, Beyonce and Bruno Mars.

Other celebrities sighted watching the Super Bowl live were Britney Spears, Will Ferrell, Mark Walhberg, Gisele Bundchen, Victoria Secret angel Adriana Lima, Nick Cannon, singer Steven Tyler, John Legend, Chris Evans and Chris Pratt among others.
