The Xbox One is capable of recognizing dozens of voice commands thanks to its Kinect motion sensor camera. Here's a guide to the various voice commands for the console.
The most common voice command is obvious: "Xbox on/ Xbox turn off." Simply saying "Xbox" will bring up the master voice command options for the console, and saying "Stop Listening" cancels the voice command mode. Users can say "Xbox sign in/ Xbox sign out" to sign in and out of Xbox Live, and saying "Xbox sign is as/ Xbox sign out as" followed by a username will sign that user in or out. If a you want to start playing a game or using an app, simply say "Xbox go to" followed by whatever content you want to access. Similarly, saying "Xbox snap" followed by an application will open that app up in a separate snap mode window. Saying "Xbox go home" or "Xbox show my stuff" will bring users to the homepage of the console.
Saying "Xbox start a party" will begin party chat. Saying "Xbox volume up/down" will raise or lower the volume on the console, and stating "Xbox mute/unmute" will mute or unmute an individual player. Xbox One users can contact each other through video messages by saying "Xbox call/Xbox Skype" followed by that user's name. Users can respond to their own Skype calls by saying "Xbox answer/ Xbox answer without video." Ending a call with voice commands is as simple as saying "Xbox hang up."
If you want to watch a movie or other content with the Xbox One, say "Xbox play" to start the content. Users have a wide variety of voice commands for controlling how they watch media, including saying "Xbox stop," "Xbox pause," "Xbox fast forward," "Xbox rewind," "Xbox faster/slower" and "Xbox skip forward/backward."
Finally, if you're looking to browse the Internet, you can use Internet Explorer and or say "browse to" followed by the website, or say "Xbox Bing" to use the search engine.
Using these voice commands allows Xbox One users to access many of the console's features without having to sort through the menus themselves.
