Mexican rock band Maná will soon release a new studio album and they will collaborate with Colombian pop star Shakira on a single.

The song, titled "Mi Verdad" or "My Truth," is produced by Maná's lead singer Fernando "Fher" Olvera and American Grammy-winning songwriter George Noriega, Fox News Latino reported. The track conveys "inspiration, peace, and unconditional love" and the "trying times" of humanity.

"Mi Verdad" will go on sale internationally on February 9 and will be available on digital platforms on February 10. It will also be the first single from Maná's ninth studio album, which is expected to come out in markets at a still unspecified date this year, Fox News Latino noted. The album comes four years after the band's previous studio album, 2011's "Drama y Luz" or "Drama and Light."

Maná to Perform in Rock and Rio USA

Maná has been included in the star-studded lineup of Rock in Rio that will take place in Las Vegas on May 8-9 and 15-16, 2015. According to the group's website, the band, which currently consists of vocalist/guitarist Olvera, drummer Alex González, guitarist Sergio Vallín, and bassist Juan Calleros, will perform on the Main Stage during Rock and Rio's first weekend and will share the stage with No Doubt.

"Maná is the perfect example of how powerful the Hispanic community is in the culturally diverse USA. It seemed like the logical thing to have them be part of the Festival's first edition and we are very proud to welcome them into our journey once again," said Roberto Medina, Rock in Rio's president and founder, as quoted by Maná.com.

Other performers in the event include Bruno Mars, No Doubt, Metallica, Linkin Park, Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, and Rise Against the Machine on the Main Stage. The festival's Sunset Stage, on the other hand, will feature Deftones, Sepultura, John Legend, Coheed and Cambria, and Joss Stone, the band announced through its website.

The Latin rock band also performed at the 2012 Madrid edition of the music festival. Their long and successful career was proven by four Grammy Awards, seven Latin Grammy Awards, five MTV Video Music Awards Latin America, six Premios Juventud awards, and fourteen Billboard Latin Music Awards, according to Maná.com. They also sold 25 million copies of their albums worldwide and 15 unparalleled sold-out shows held at the Los Angeles Staples Center.

Maná's genre usually focuses on pop rock, Latin pop, calypso, reggae and ska music, the band's website added. Their popularity extended to countries such as Australia, Spain, the United States, Western Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
