Developed and published by Nintendo, "Mario Party 10" arrives exclusively for the Wii U on March 20, 2015. Announced in last year's E3, the game will be playable in three party modes: classic, Bowser and amiibo.

Without further ado, here are five important things to know before checking out the game.

1. Bowser is a party-crasher

On top of classic board contenders, Nintendo introduces a new Bowser party mode, where the evil Koopa King comes to execute one, not-so-noble purpose: wreak havoc within minigames.

As told by IGN, Bowser will be playable and controllable. If you're up to be that extra challenge to friends vying for survival, might as well play the character! For one, imagine how they'll have to dodge your attacks.

2. The amiibo advantage

To play under the amiibo party mode, players simply tap the Wii U gamepad with the amiibo character of their choice. This will have to be a compatible amiibo.

The amiibo may then be used as a game piece. A special board related to the character will also be used as the games' setting. Lastly, one token may be assigned to your amiibo for play, so better be wise in selecting coins, dice blocks, stars and mushrooms!

The game has nine compatible amiibos: Mario, Luigi, Toad, Peach, Yoshi, Rosalina & Luma, Donkey Kong, Wario and Bowser.

3. Over 70 mini-games

One interesting feature of the "Mario Party" series is the wide selection of mini-games. For "Mario Kart 10," Nintendo tells more than 70 will be available. Think you could spend the whole day on-board? Guess we'll be seeing more than Fruit Scoot Scurry, Beeline Shrine and Cheep Cheep Leap!

4. A slew of new stuff

The ride to fortune is a race to success -- get the most number of stars and win the game. Nintendo tells, "There are new boards, new twists and turns, new power-ups, and new mini-games that you can play with up to four total players."

5. Visual at its finest?

Fans always loved the Mario world for its bright and playful graphics, and "Mario Party 10" is no different. Boards, attractions and more have already been teased, and you can check some of them here and here.

The game is available at Nintendo stores and eShop (Wii U) on release date. In the meantime, you may want to preorder retail (standalone game or bundle) and digital versions here. The bundle includes a Mario amiibo.
