The next Marvel production on streaming service Netflix has announced that it has cast another member for the series. Actress Rachael Taylor from "Grey's Anatomy" will be playing Patricia "Trish" Walker, a close friend to the titular character of Marvel's Jessica Jones, the upcoming 13-episode Netflix series.

Los Angeles Times has reported that Taylor's character, Walker is a syndicated radio talk show host, former model, and a child star who first appeared in the comics in 1944 and later on went to receive her own identity as a superhero called Hellcat.

Show runner Melissa Rosenberg said about Taylor's Trish Walker, "The character is a star and a powerhouse, and required an actress who is both."

Executive producer Jeph Loeb said on UPI about choosing Taylor as Jessica Jones' closest ally, "Rachael's ability to embody a character that must balance both the darker and lighter elements of our series will provide a perfect emotional anchor for Jessica Jones. Rachael blew us away with her grounded, humanizing take on Trish, adding yet another layer to the complex, emotional story we're telling with this series."

"Marvel's AKA Jessica Jones" will star Krysten Ritter as the titular character, who sets up as a private investigator in New York City after her short-lived term as a superhero. However, things get complicated when a figure from her past reappears in the form of Scottish actor David Tennant as Kilgrave.

Ritter is known for her role in the comedy "Don't Trust the B - in Apartment 23." She also appeared in AMC's acclaimed series, "Breaking Bad" and has recently starred in Tim Burton's "Big Eyes."

Tennant, on the other hand, is best known as the 10^th incarnation of the Time Lord in "Doctor Who," which is considered to be TV's longest-running series. The said show was said to be what catapulted him to stardom.

"AKA Jessica Jones" is the second Marvel series signed on to Netflix and will culminate in a miniseries with Luke Cage in "Defenders." Charlie Cox will also star in "Daredevil" on the streaming site beginning April. "AKA Jessica Jones," on the other hand, has no specific air date yet, but according to Variety, it will be premiere on the site later this year.
