Another American Music Awards in the books. Yes, the American Music Awards is a real thing. It’s hard to keep track of all the music, film and television award ceremonies these days, but for some reason they keep adding up. Although relatively under the radar, the American Music Awards attracted a wide array of top caliber performers such as Miley Cyrus, Justin Timberlake, Rihanna and even TLC. Miley's performance seemed tame compared to her riveting "We Can't Stop" and "Blurred Lines" performance during MTV's Video Music Awards, but she still managed to steal the show with most provacative and, well odd, performance of the night.

Overall, the American Music Awards was a success. It’s significance may be convoluted amongst all the other award shows that terrorize television, but the show went on without a hitch and attendees walked away happy. For the majority of you who missed last night’s ceremony, here’s a brief recap of the big winners.
