Shakira and Gerard Piqué are about to welcome their second baby this week.

According to Fox News Latino, Shakira will undergo C-section on Thursday, January 29, at the Quiron Teknon Hospital in Barcelona. The singer and her family have reportedly booked an entire hospital floor to ensure privacy.

Last Monday night, the 37-year-old Colombian hitmaker was seen at the maternity ward of the hospital, prompting rumors that she has already given birth prior to her C-section schedule, Fox News Latino added.

Shakira announced that she is pregnant with her second son in Cosmopolitan Mexico's October issue. Rumors about her second pregnancy began after the singer's World Cup performance in July, where she was seen with a small baby bump while wearing "a more conservative outfit than usual," according to a separate report from Fox News Latino.

The singer opened up about having more children last year. She said, "I would love to have eight or nine kids with Gerard-my own fútbol team," as quoted by E! Online.

In an interview last month, Shakira also stated: "If it wasn't for my music projects, I would be pregnant already. When you have a baby, when you feel his love, you feel so at peace with the world. You just want to share the good news," the singer said, as quoted by Express.

Shakira and soccer player Piqué recently celebrated the second birthday of their son Milan on January 22, Express added.

Baby shower with a cause

Last week, the couple shared a new set of family photos on Sunday at their UNICEF World Baby Shower campaign, according to a separate report from Fox News Latino. The pictures feature a very radiant Shakira, Piqué, and their son Milan.

In a statement posted on the charity's website, the family encouraged others to organize their own World Baby Showers, "where guests can access an 'inspired gift registry' that allows them to donate food, vaccines and other supplies to needy children," E! Online reported.

The statement reads: "In 2013, we welcomed Milan, our first child into the world. Thanks to your generosity, our first World Baby Shower for UNICEF was an incredible success! Now that we're expecting our second child, we want to invite other expectant parents to host their own world baby shower. You don't have to be a celebrity to make a difference-the birth of your child can be a blessing that also saves thousands of children's lives around the world!!"

Shakira and Piqué first met in spring 2010 when he made an appearance in the singer's music video for "Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)," Express noted.
