Good news for "Halo" fans: despite the problems encountered from the Master Chief Collection, it seems that the game franchise is back on its feet as "Halo 5" proves that it can get better.

According to website The Fuse Joplin, "Halo 5: Guardians" just finished its beta test and it was praised by the gamers with the more familiar experiences brought about by the game, mostly that it removed armor powers and got the game back to its roots, which is really what fans wanted in the first place.

The website noted that during the beta test, which ran from December 19, 2014 to January 18, 2015, it received only positive reviews.

This is especially a good thing for 343 Industries considering that with the broken Master Chief Collection, GameRanx.com reported that players are intent on boycotting the game. Of course, they said that they won't be buying "Halo 5" until Master Chief is fixed, but with the positive reviews, Guardians may just be saved.

There is no official release date for "Halo 5" yet, but with the beta test done with, it will definitely be in stores this year. It is also noted that the game will be released exclusively for Xbox One, so there is some time to save up before the game hits the shelves.

Currently listed to be released on December 31, 2015, "Halo 5" is already available for pre-order on Amazon for $60, but since it will obviously be arriving before then, those who pre-ordered will definitely be getting their games from Amazon right away - most likely, as soon as it's released.

As for the problematic Master Chief Collection, however, Forbes noted that 343 Industries is still working on its kinks, to the point of calling another beta test for the game that was released over two months ago. Of course, a literal beta is ludicrous, so the one that the company is doing is for an upcoming content update that will fix the problems and bugs that infuriated gamers this far after the release.

While not much has been said about the beta test for the update, the website noted that it will fix the issues that the game suffers from, including finding the games and improving the teams. The sooner the Master Chief Collection gets fixed, the better the chances are of "Halo 5" becoming a success (especially with that boycott threat going on).

What do you think 343 Industries should do with "Halo," focus on ensuring the success of "Halo 5," or should they be working on the improvement of Master Chief first?
