Play Station Plus subscribers have been clamoring for more free games since November, and it seems that Sony is giving them (relatively) New Year's gifts as they listened and made it happen.
According to Franchise Herald, Play Station Digital Platforms senior manager Matthew Harper said that an AAA game will be part of the December and January list of free games.
The list, according to the official blog for Play Station, include the following:
Infamous: First Light
Main character Fetch is forced to have to relive tragedies from her past, and is battling to escape Curdon Cay as she seeks vengeance to the people who wronged her.
The Swapper
The award-winning, narrative-driven puzzle game is set in a time in an isolated world, with players experimenting on devices that allow them to create clones of themselves, eventually swapping their entire consciousness into new bodies in order to overcome the challenges brought about by the environment.
Prototype 2
The sequel to 2009's best-selling open-world action game takes the carnage to another level as players experience becoming the ultimate shape-shifting weapon as Sgt James Heller builds a cast genetic arsenal of deadly biological weapons.
Duck Tales Remastered
The reimagining of one of the most cherished 8-bit games of all time now finds itself in the golden age with details that will please Disney fans and retro Capcom fans alike. It features hand-drawn animation and Disney character voice talents that will bring Scrooge McDuck and his family back to life.
Duke Nukem 3D: Megaton Edition
Megaton edition is the definitive compulation of the first-person shooter game that became a landmark in consoles. This edition, however, features enhanced versions of Duke Nukem 3D, three classic expansion packs, and the original version of the landmark game.
But with January fast drawing to a close, predictions for February 2015 games are also coming, with Christian Today speculating that it will include another AAA game to the list. The rest of the games include "Criminal Girls: Invite Only", "Evolve", and "Dragon Ball Xenoverse".
PS forum users, according to Gospel Herald, also want a wider array of console games, and have voted to include "Transistor" and "Worms: Battlegrounds" for PS4, "Rain", and "Resident Evil: Revelations" for PS3, and finally, "Olli Olli" and "Toukiden" for PS Vita to be on the list of free games for the next several weeks.
Which games are you most excited to play for free, and what other games do you wish Play Station will release this January and for February?
