The two-part winter finale of ABC's "Scandal" will kick off on Thursday, Dec. 5, and it promises to be intense and filled with drama.

Viewers will have to wait an extra week to see the upcoming episode of the popular political thriller series, but it promises to be worth the wait. In the episode, which is called "YOLO," Olivia reunites with her long lost mother under very perilous circumstances.

Besides Olivia and her mom, there is another situation that is bound to cause lots of drama-- Cyrus and Quinn, reports Celebrity Dirty Laundry.

A promo of the midseason finale shows that Olivia is understandably shaken after finding her "dead" mother alive. It's gets even worse by the fact that obviously special ops are all over trying to get her mother back. In the preview, Olivia has her mother at her place and she calls Huck to find out what to do, he tells her to bold because someone is coming for her mother.

In the meantime, there's also a Jake vs. Fitz scene and Huck has a torture device in his hand.

Here's what the official ABC synopsis has to say about the episode: "As the team gets closer to the truth, loyalties are tested and relationships are pushed to the limit. Meanwhile, Cyrus has to deal with his own crisis and he realizes that he may have gone too far."
