Expected to succeed the Lumia 1020, rumors surrounding the Nokia Lumia 1030 went viral in late 2014. Industry speculations heated when an alleged Lumia prototype surfaced online, turning heads to what could have been the earlier-dubbed "McLaren." Unfortunately, the device has not been confirmed, leaving us no definite information at present.

But that doesn't mean clues are not provided. We've curated five of the best specs and features expected to pack in the rumored smartphone.

1. 50-Megapixel Camera

If megapixels could kill, the Lumia 1030 would slay the rest of the world's smartphones -- only if it comes out now. As told by Know Your Mobile, rumors say the device will arrive with a 50 MP PureView snapper.

Should the device pack the feature, it will immediately dethrone its successor as the smartphone with the greatest megapixel. Lumia 1020 packed a 41 MP shooter. Interestingly, the Oppo Find 7, although packing a 13 MP rear camera, is said to be capable of doing a camera trick that yields 50 MP photos.

2. 3D Touch Technology

According to Phone Arena, the rumored device supposedly brings Microsoft's 3D Touch feature. Guided by sensors, the technology is said to perform certain actions under specific conditions.

For instance, the outlet wrote, "Think having a phone hang up automatically when it is placed in a pocket after a call, or its loudspeaker turning itself on when the handset is placed on a flat surface."

3. Windows 10 Support: An iPhone Killer?

The Lumia 1030 leak appeared alongside Apple's iPhone 6, The News Tribe reported. According to the outlet, the device is poised to rival the Cupertino smartphone, provided that it launches this year.

The source noted that the Lumia 1030 is expected to run Microsoft's Windows 10, which has been recently confirmed to run across an array of devices. But of course, we'll have to hear official word first.

4. Stunning QHD Display

Citing rumors, Christian Today noted that the Lumia 1030 will pack a 5.8-inch display, housing a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. Expectedly, this appears to be a Quad HD screen.

If this holds truth, the device beats the visuals of its predecessor, which arrived with a 768 x 1280 pixel resolution in a 4.5-inch display.

5. Full Metal Architecture?

A Lumia 1030 concept design from Jonas Daehnert was cited by International Business Times last month. As described by the outlet, the render packed a metal chassis, as well as a "single strip" of plastic material.

Although it appears to be a decent interpretation of the rumored handset, note that it is only a concept, so the idea of a metal furnish must be taken with a pinch of salt.

The Inquisitr suggested that the device could launch late this year. See alleged photos of the Lumia 1030 prototype here (via GSMArena).
