A new healing mechanism for Snake has been tipped by GamingBolt, citing information from a series of tweets straight from Hideo Kojima. According to the outlet, the juicy details came with new screenshots. From there, it appears that "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" could bring a slew of interesting things this year.
It was revealed that Snake's artificial arm has undergone healing, but this may not be an ordinary process. The source took note of Kojima's description, "Has the artificial arm healed?! No, it's just a bug."
GamingBolt interpreted the mechanism as "some kind of computerized process which might or might not run into bugs." Well, it remains to be mysterious at this point, but we'll surely be on the lookout.
When it comes to the game's release date, Expert Reviews reported that 2015 will see its arrival on all consoles. The outlet hoped a Summer release, but of course, only Kojima and Konami can confirm.
Gamepur took note of one fan, who seemed to be part of legions waiting for the title's release. The Twitter user asked, "Should I stay up to until 5AM Wednesday night Thursday morning [and] watch the Japanese Kojima Station?"
Kojima Productions' Kenichiro Imaizumi responded, "If you're expecting release day, please go to bed. I would utilize multi language media when I make a big announcement."
Based on the Imaizumi's statement, it looks like players still need to juice more patience. On a lighter note, it's good to know that the developers are postponing announcements for the better.
The rep assured in another tweet, "Hideo [Kojima] and KJP are working very hard to make it better quality everyday and night. It's not just ready to announce yet."
Expert Reviews went on to reveal that "The Phantom Pain" will be different from previous "Metal Gear Solid" installments in a number of ways.
First, it was said that the game focuses on "massive, open-world environments." Second, players are able to explore these locations at their own individual pacing. Third, players are expected to adjust themselves over changing situations. The arrival of a new buddy system, expected to become a battlefield companion, was also cited.
Meanwhile, voice actor David Hayter was recently speculated to reprise his role as Solid Snake in the upcoming game. International Business Times took note of his cryptic tweet, which was presumed to hint his probable comeback. Hayter let out, "I'm not 'not allowed' to not tell anyone about anything."
As noted on IGN, the game will arrive for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC.
