Four major U.S. carriers have finally rolled out Android 4.3 Jelly Bean for their respective Samsung Galaxy S3s, leaving Verizon as the only large national wireless service provider that hasn't done so yet.

Carriers AT&T and T-Mobile were the first two to roll out the major upgrade, with Sprint and U.S Cellular following soon after. All Galaxy S3 Android 4.3 updates are basically the same (barring the slight infusion of carrier-branded bloatware). Downloaders will want their devices to be charged and tethered to a Wi-Fi connection, as it is the first major new Android version for the Galaxy S3 in over a half year. Translation: it's big.

Sadly, however, unless it's security or Galaxy Gear features that interest you, Android 4.3 Jelly Bean doesn't bring too many improvements. Most of the fixes are under the hood in the form of performance-and-security boosting measures. Business-minded individuals, however, get Samsung KNOX, security software that allows the user to safely manage professional and personal data on the same device. Android 4.3 Jelly Bean also brings Bluetooth 4.0 LE support, which means the handset can finally enjoy full connectivity with the Galaxy Gear smartwatch.

There's still no word on when Verizon will roll out the update, although it shouldn't be too long before Big Red joins the others. Verizon is typically the slowest of the bunch when it comes to new Android firmwares, but given the fast approaching sales frenzy of the holiday season, the carrier is sure to do everything it can to attract customers.
