Paul George Injury Update: Pacers Star Dunking During Practice

After breaking his leg during an exhibition game last August, Indiana Pacers star Paul George has recently shown strong signs of recovery as he was seen dunking again during a team practice.

A video posted on a Yahoo Sports page showed George playing ball again at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse and making a reverse dunk. But the same report pointed out that fans should not expect him to return this season as he is still dealing with his injury up until now.

Though reports claim that he has already recovered 100 percent of his health, he still needs a few more months to practice and get back to his previous state and shape.

"And many think he'll never regain the athletic attributes that made him so formidable in the past," Yahoo Sports added.

But of course his fans and the people rallying behind him believe that dunking during practice is not a normal thing to do for someone who suffered a leg break five months ago.

A similar NBA.com report also said that George still has a long way in his recovery process but he has gone a long way after the life-changing injury.

It also added that playing basketball once in a while and practicing for a couple of months have aided in his fast recovery as evidenced by his strong dunk during the game practice.

"To the best of our knowledge, Thursday was the first time that George dunked while practice was open to the media," NBA.com noted in its report. However, this is not a guarantee that he will be playing for the Pacers very soon, it added.

Though he was plaiying and dunking like a normal player again, it was reported that there were still a few signs that George needed to work on his moves again before returning to the game.

In an interview with members of the media, the team's head coach, Frank Vogel, said that it would be "highly unlikely" for the team to put back George on the team this year.

Certainly, George still needs to let his body adjust again to the playing conditions of the game as he was able to leave the court for quite a long period of time before expressing intention to return. Fans, of course, are very much anticipating his return but they need to wait a little longer since it is not yet sure if he has already recovered completely from his injury.
