The boy next door to Kim Kardashian might just be someone from her not so pleasant past.

We've been expecting a portrait of a perfect family with Kim, Kanye West and North West moving out of Kris Jenner's home and into their multimillion Hidden Hills mansion, but lo and behold, Ray J will possibly be just a stone's throw away, reported the International Business Times.

Kim once hogged headlines for a leaked sex video with ex-boyfriend Ray J, the report recalled.

"Now she's a respectable wife and mom, the last thing Kim Kardashian will want to think about is the sordid sex tape she once made with rapper Ray J," said Mirror.

"...[B]ut their names are still often brought together through varying circumstances," the International Business Times noted.

According to Mirror, when Kim and Kanye tied the knot in May, it was reported -- and denied -- that Ray J, real name William Ray Norwood Jr., sent his profits from the sex tape made back in 2003 as a wedding gift.

In reality, "Jenner scored Kim a royalty deal, where she would earn a nice royalty payment for every copy sold. Kim also walked away with a $5 million in a settlement," per Inquisitr.

The International Business Times said: "This time around ... [i]f reports hold true, it seems that Ray J is buying a mansion on the same street as Kim and Kanye's new home."

So after about two years of living with Jenner and even buying the lot next door to them just to make sure it's going to be a blissful life, it would seem the superstar couple of Kim and Kanye hasn't done enough.

"Kim's former sex tape partner just wrote a $2.7-million offer to buy a Hidden Hills mansion 8 doors down from Kim and Kanye," revealed TMZ.

It added that he and business manager David Weintraub visited the property, reportedly with three horse stalls late Friday. The Daily Mail added that the home was a "white one-story house with French windows and a grey roof."

The TMZ report said it might be Kim and Kanye's lapse in research that brought them together, not so much the other haunting the reality superstar.

"Ray says it's already his hood," the report said. "He lived in the vicinity longer than Kim so if anything she's the carpetbagger."

Kim's side hasn't made any comment on the issue yet, the International Business Times said. However, the Daily Mail noted that the $20-million Hidden Hills home is also near the homes of Jenner and friend Jennifer Lopez.

"How much would you pay to watch Ray J knock at Kim's door for a cup of sugar and Kanye answers," TMZ said.
