A surprising promotional poster has revealed the launch date of Nintendo's new 3DS XL. According to Game Rant, the console was tipped to arrive in Feb. 13, 2015, along with "The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D" remake and "Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate."

No detail was mentioned concerning a new 3DS model, the outlet added.

Following the leaked poster, Ars Technica reported that Nintendo has already confirmed the expected U.S. release date. In addition, the company suggested a retail price of $199.99 for its upcoming console. You can read Nintendo's official tweet here.

The new 3DS XL's price is similar to the original console, The Huffington Post said. However, it brings an array of new and unique features, which you can check out below.

Face-Tracking 3D

Nintendo boasts of the new 3DS XL's ability to adjust images based on the player's viewing angle. This is made possible by the system's inner cameras, which ultimately result to a "super-stable" 3D experience. Simply put, the feature basically tracks one's face.

Based on the company's simulation, users can tilt the console's screen from left to right without disturbing clarity of the visual. This is one ability lacking in the original 3DS XL.

New Control Mechanisms

The C stick was said to bring new control powers, such as an intuitive camera, among compatible games. New ZR and ZL buttons are also packed in the upcoming console.

Amiibo Support

Also working with compatible games, users may tap an Amiibo figure to the NFC reader in order to access Amiibo features. The Near-Field Communication (NFC) reader is located on the lower screen. For more information about Amiibo characters, head over here.

Other Features

Nintendo adds that the new 3DS XL packs an improved camera, readily appreciated in low-light settings. A new Internet browser has been developed, where users can utilize the ZL / ZR buttons for switching tabs. The C stick functions for zooming.

Data sharing has also been made easier. Through wireless network, files may be moved between the system's microSDHC card and a PC. That means the card may no longer be removed.

However, users may most appreciate Nintendo's efforts in bringing an improved CPU performance, which culminates in faster game loading. Furthermore, games from 3DS and "nearly all" from the earlier Nintendo DS and DSi systems remain available to play.

A gold version of the 3DS XL will also be arriving, Ars Technica wrote. This is a special-edition console styled with "The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask" art.

Nintendo has also announced, "Some future titles will be exclusively playable on the New Nintendo 3DS XL."
