Puerto Rico will hold a concert to honor the late reggae artist Bob Marley.
According to Fox News Latino, the tribute concert will be held at the Sounds of Jamaica event at Bahia Urbana in Old San Juan, on February 6, which would have been the musician's 70th birthday. The Puerto Rican artists expected to perform Marley's songs in the concert are Millo Torres, Don Carmelo de Gomba Jahbari, Misael de Yerba Bruja, and Weslie Ramos de Vozegata.
Jamaica's singer-composer Don Carlos and Italian reggae musician Alborosie will also perform in the event, the report adds.
Don Carlos' career started in 1973 as a member of Black Uhuru. His solo album "Suffering", was released in 1981. "Harvest Time," "Day to Day Living," and "Them Never Know A Natty Dread Have Him Credential" followed in 1982, while "Soul Pirate" was released in 2008, Fox News Latino reports.
The commemoration of Marley's 70th birthday would showcase the legendary artist's variety of rare and unreleased material as well as fan favorite deluxe editions, according to Broadway World.
On Feb 17, fans can expect the first release of "Bob Marley and The Wailers - Easy Skanking in Boston '78", which will feature live shows held at the Boston's Music Hall on June 8, 1978, the report notes.
The album will be released in Blu-Ray/CD, DVD/CD, and standalone CD versions. Broadway World reports that the video footage was "shot with a hand-held camera by a fan that Marley allowed to sit right in front of the stage. The result is remarkable imagery that captures Marley from just a few feet away, allowing one to experience the intimacy of his set.". Highlights include a performance of "Jammin" and "The Heathen" by Marley and his band.
Performers include Carlton Barrett (drums), Aston Barrett (bass), backup vocals Marcia Griffiths, Rita Marley, and Judy Mowatt, Tyrone Downie (keyboards), Alvin Patterson (percussion), and Julian Marvin (lead guitar).

UMe, a division of the Universal Music Group, will announce special releases all throughout this year, Broadway World reports.
Marley began his career in 1962, and he went on to establish himself as one of the most legendary musical icons in the world. Even after his untimely death due to cancer in 1981, the industry continued to recognize his contributions. Some of his accolades include the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (1994), ASCAP Songwriters Hall of Fame (2010), a GRAMMY Lifetime Achievement Award (2001), numerous entries in the GRAMMY Hall of Fame, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame (2001), according to Broadway World.
