Prepare for Jan. 15, as Nike retailers and resellers worldwide make the KD7 "Road Camo" color option available for the taking.

The "Road Camo," aka "Blue Lacquer" -- with a light blue lacquer base, and clearwater, total orange and white accents -- will be out beginning 10 a.m. EST (7 a.m. PST) on Nike.com.

On the website, it is available in normal sizing, 7-13, 14 and 15, and in full-family sizing: grade school (3.5Y - 7Y) for $115; preschool (10.5c - 3Y) for $80; and toddler (5c-10c) for $60.

The relatively wild design choices on the shoe are explained on the same page: "The newest colorway of the KD7 puts a twist on a traditional away shoe with a unique camo- and lightning-inspired graphic on the Hyperposite heel."

That signature graphic referred to is the "Road Camo."

"In January, every road game counts. It's the home stretch. Kevin Durant loves playing on the road, where it's his team against the world," it said, on a more intimate note.

The shoe is blue overall, with black hints on the KD emblem at the tongue, the belt, the print on the Hyperposite heel and the inner lining, among others. The Swoosh, appearing near the toe box and superimposed on the inner side of the heel, sports zebra-like prints, in black and white, and is outlined in black.

The airbag has orange details. The print on the outsole comes off as tribal, with an oval break, inside of which orange lines appear.

It is "a colorful nod to the importance of January," noted Nike Blog. "The KD 7 Blue Lacquer celebrates Kevin Durant's affinity for playing away games, when the pressure is truly on."

A previous Latino Post article noted that, aside from Nike.com, the colorway can be had through eBay, shopawol, Sneaker Politics and Kixify.

According to Sneaker News, there's been a long rest for the KD line, having been stalled because of Durant's foot injury at the NBA, but the newest colorway promises to be "OKC-esque blue," in an ode to Oklahoma City Thunder for which he suits up.

"Hopefully this is the first in a long line of graphic ridden Nike KD7s for 2015," the report said.

The model is also available for customization on Nike's official online store, which is good news for customers who want their footwear unique, but without compomising authenticity or quality.

"...[T]he Nike KD7 is on the brink of making its new 'Road Camo' option available for its NIKEiD counterpart," said Nice Kicks

"...[T]he overall bold finish will surely garner NIKEiD fanatics or fellow sneaker enthusiasts alike," said Kicks on Fire, meanwhile. It noted that the option comes on the heels of the entry of the "23 Chromosomes" graphic on LeBron 12's customization line.

"[N]ike basketball colorways are getting so much better," said one Sneaker News commenter. One noted, however, "whys it sittin on a Jordan box tho.. Lol."
