“Girls” is back. It’s time to bust out the cheap booze and trendy outfits to celebrate the world’s best portrayal of young women living in Brooklyn and overreacting about practically everything.
In the brand new Season 3 trailer, Hannah, played by writer and director Lena Dunham, finds herself hiking. It’s impossible to imagine, we know, but you’ll quickly see that her quirky Brooklyn personality joined her for the ride. The remainder of the trailer show snippets off all your favorite characters being who they are. In fact, besides to shots of the hiking trip, it look like any other season. It’s all the same. The characters are still caught up in their own troubles, trying to get a grasp on reality and discover their true identities and callings in life.
But it’s not all bad. Hannah is seen adapting to life behind a desk and crammed between cubicle walls, Shoshanna embraces her independence and learns to speak her mind, Marnie tries to convince herself that she’s okay (what else is new), and Ray is, well, Ray. It might be more of the same, but it’s the same that we love to watch.
Watch the trailer for yourself below and prepare yourself for the third season of “Girls,” which premieres on HBO Jan. 12 with two back-to-back episodes.
