Cote de Pablo's "NCIS" exit opened a lot of doors for the actress but one question remains: Will Mossad agent Ziva David ever return to the CBS drama?

In an interview with TV Line, the actress revealed what she felt about Ziva's departure.

"I think it was rushed. I would have liked a little bit of closure," the actress said, as quoted by TV Line. "But I think all in all I could not be more blessed, because I got a chance to be with my 'love,' Michael. Any time you put Michael and I together there's going to be a spark, and there's going to be real honesty, and for that I am forever grateful. Because in that sense there was a sense of conclusion as far as what [the characters] felt for each other."

De Pablo, maintained that she has no doubts about leaving and ending her 8-year streak as a mainstay on "NCIS," TV Line noted. Even though it was a tough transition, she's had an opportunity to have a much-needed personal time when she left the show.

"I took a couple of months off, and my entire family came over which was really great. They knew that it was a tough transition for me, and within three-and-a-half months I had an offer," De Pablo said, as reported by TV Line.

The offer, which is the upcoming biopic about a Chilean miner titled "The 33," will feature the actress alongside Antonio Banderas, Gabriel Byrne, and Juliette Binoche. De Pablo also has a new show in the CBS network titled "The Dovekeepers" premiering on March 31, the news outlet reported.

De Pablo's exit on "NCIS" sparked outcry from her fans on social media, and even prompted viewers to petition the network to bring her character back on the show, Fox News Latino recalled. When asked about the fanbase's reaction, the actress said that the "outpouring of love" and support from fans was "humbling."

"When you make decisions like this, you never expect for people to fully understand," she said, as reported by Fox News Latino. "So it was really delicious to feel that kind of love and I'm always grateful for that."

Is there a chance that de Pablo would reprise her character on the show? The actress teased that it's a huge possibility.

"I think the fact that they never killed the character off is very telling," the 35-year-old actress said, as quoted by TV Line. "Under the right circumstances, I think it could definitely be explored."
