The death of Beth, Emily Kinney's character on "The Walking Dead," left a huge hole in fans' hearts. Just like all the character deaths in AMC's popular zombie drama, Beth's death was unexpected and tragic, and some viewers weren't quite ready to let go of her yet. But one actor on "The Walking Dead" revealed that he wasn't upset over Beth's demise.

Chandler Riggs, who portrays Carl Grimes on the show, revealed during a Q&A session on Ask.fm that he wasn't devastated when he knew about Kinney's character's impending death. He also stated that he was expecting for it happen.

"Well Scott [Gimple] called all of us (like he always does with character deaths) and told us that she would be dying. I figured it was bound to happen sometime, so I wasn't like sobbing or anything. Plus, I haven't really done a scene with her since the mid season finale of season 4, and before that was in like season 3. It wasn't like I hung out with her all the time, so it wasn't super devastating for me," Riggs said, as quoted by Wet Paint.

When asked by the news outlet concerning Kinney's reaction upon learning about Beth's tragic death, the young actor was brief in his response.

"I don't know, he called us on the phone individually after work," Riggs said, referring to "The Walking Dead" showrunner Scott Gimple, Wet Paint added.

This statement from the 15-year-old actor sounded quite harsh and cold, but Movie Pilot pointed out that Riggs has a good point. According to the news outlet, his character didn't interact with Beth that much during the course of the show's fifth season so it's understandable why Riggs' didn't have any emotional attachment to Kinney's character.

What's In Store for 'Season 5?'

Andrew Lincoln, who plays Rick Grimes, teased what fans can expect when Season 5 comes back next month from its midseason break. According to the actor, the fifth season will feature a twist and a different tone in the story, Mirror reported.

"The scripts that I've read and what we've been filming so far - it feels like we're moving into a new show," Lincoln said, as quoted by Mirror. "It just feels like a new place visually and also story-wise ... It's very hard not to be brutalised by this world - but there is a sense in Nick that he's going to pull people through," he added.

"The Walking Dead" will return on Monday, February 9, at 9 PM, according to Mirror.
