Rihanna has been hinting about the release of her eighth studio album since late 2014, and it seems that she really has been doing her time in the studio, as she had been sharing to her fans new snippets from her yet-to-be-released album called "R8".

On the day after new year, Master Herald noted that a new song called "World Peace" was leaked on the internet, and it seems that fans think this will be part of Rihanna's new album, and when released officially, may be the main component to starting RiRi's year on a high note.

Following the leak, RiRi also posted a message on Instagram about her possible new album. The image is part of a series of what Music Times called "booby" pictures featuring one of a cartoon drawing of a straight-faced woman who doesn't seem too happy, but with the traditional New Year's decorations that included fancy nails, plenty of bling, and champagne... and if you take a second look, a necklace with a rather large "R8" pendant dangling from it.

Time also notes that Rihanna may have had some growing up to do, as the song is "decidedly political" with lyrics like: "In a perfect world, we would make love over war" and what the world really needs, is to feel love again."

Hollywood Life also said that the song is in the same spirit as her 2011 hit, "We Found Love" and is a great song to dance, wherever you are, and with whomever you're with. This is just the beginning of Rihanna's focus on music for the year. A source for the website declared that Rihanna is just done fooling around with the wrong guys, and music will be her priority this year. The source said, "She isn't going to mess with anybody in the industry like that anymore. Those guys bring her nothing but pain and heartbreak."

Not that she's staying off men for good! MTV seems to think that there might be a Rihanna and Sam Smith collaboration soon, especially when the British crooner hinted, "I'm personally really excited for Rihanna's album. I know some stuff about that record that no one knows."

So for the New Year, it's all about her new album, not new heartbreaks, which is a good thing if it's going to help her dish out songs this good, if it really is hers, which most people seem to think so.

What do you think - is "World Peace" really a piece from bad gal RiRi?
