For fans of "The Amazing Spider-Man", there might be a chance for you to share some screen time with your favorite actors.

According to Comic Book Movie, New York-based casting agency Bill Beckman Casting is calling for extras in Atlanta, Georgia. The casting notice reportedly calls for "male and female extras of all races and ethnicities between the ages of 18 and 65."

Andrew Garfield and Dane DeHaan, who portrayed the roles of Spider-Man/Peter Parker and Harry Osborn/Green Goblin, respectively, are listed to be in "The Amazing Spider-Man 3." However, it is unknown whether director Marc Webb will return for the movie.

The description for the still unconfirmed third film reads: "Peter Parker/Spider-Man faces a new challenge to protect New York City," according to the Comic Book Movie report.

Yahoo! noted that if the casting call is indeed true, then this move by Sony would be unexpected. "The Amazing Spider-Man 3" is reportedly scheduled for release in theaters in 2018, which is still quite a long time away to start giving out casting calls. Plus, the franchise never filmed in Atlanta, Georgia so far.

There are also speculations in the past that a third "The Amazing Spider-Man" film won't happen because the second movie, which came out in 2014, received unfavorable reception in the box office, Yahoo! added.

How about 'The Sinister Six'?

"The Sinister Six," another planned spin-off movie by Sony listed for a November 2016 release, is also in the picture. It is highly likely that the studio will make the film first before "The Amazing Spider-Man 3," Yahoo! reported.

"The Sinister Six," which is about a group of villains intent on destroying Spider-Man," will probably feature DeHaan's Green Goblin, and Yahoo! added that Spider-Man might make a cameo in the Drew Goddard-directed film, too.

According to Flickering Myth, there are also discussions taking place about "the possibility of bringing Spidey into the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Captain America: Civil War, or taking the character in a new direction with yet another reboot." This was revealed during the recent hack on Sony.

As for "The Sinister Six," Movie Web reported that the Sony hack also revealed Goddard's plans for the upcoming 2016 movie. In an e-mail the director reportedly sent to Sony's Amy Pascal, Goddard said that he plans on introducing "a skyscraper-sized Sandman" knocking down tall buildings.

The director also wanted Tom Hardy to portray Flint Marco a.k.a. Sandman, but the actor reportedly signed on to star in Warner Bros. and DC Comics' "Suicide Squad," Movie Web noted.
