A relationship can’t survive without trust. It will crumble at its core. Sooner or later, secrets are exposed, and even if they do remain masked behind a wall of dirty lies, the guilt will chip away at your soul until your heart resembles a putrid, rotten cherry. If you mess up, admit it. Hopefully your significant other loves and respects you enough to forgice you. Forgiveness is admirable and speaks to the strength of your relationship. So guys, admit your mistakes to you girlfriend and deal with the consequences, and vice versa. It’s better than keeping it locked up inside, and who knows, perhaps she’ll respect you for your honesty and eventually let you back into her big, kind heart.

Perhaps she’ll take a page out of your own book and share her own infidelities to even the playing field, which is exactly what happened to notorious YouTube prankster Roman Atwood, although his story includes several twists. One, he was joking when he told his girlfriend he had cheated on her, and two, he caught the whole thing on camera. Poor guy.

“I cheated on you, too,” his girlfriend Britney says, choking back on a waterfall of tears. Needless to say, Atwood is not pleased. Talk about the most epic backfire of all time.
