Wrestling fans will have to wait a little longer for WWE Superstar Randy Orton's return inside the ring since he is set to undergo a minor surgery on his nose.

Orton, according to Sports World News, is suffering from a "deviated septum" which needs to be repaired right away.

Cageside Seats added that he suffered the injury during one of the house shows. "(This) is why he only worked short matches in his return to the house shows this week, and didn't wrestle on the second night of the tour at the Nassau Coliseum, nor appeared on Raw. He's going to have surgery to repair it, but the recovery time after surgery is only for a few weeks," the report added.

Other reports noted that the surgery will just be minor but will still cause him to miss a few weeks in the WWE which makes the people wonder if he will be able to fight during the Royal Rumble on Jan. 25 at the Wells Fargo Center.

The said injury has also forced the removal of the wrestler into the main event last weekend at the Long Island holiday house. He also missed Monday Night RAW though there were announcements that he will be part of it.

It was added on Sports World News that Orton has been off the WWE television for about a month when he was written off after the beat-down he received from Seth Rollins, Kane and Triple H.

During his time off from the WWE, the wrestler made good use of his spare time filming "The Condemned 2" which is a WWE Studios movie.

Bleacher Report said that the 12-time world champion returned to the ring last Dec. 26 during the WWE Live Event at the Madison Square Garden in New York.

Because of this recent news on Orton, fans are now asking how long will it take for the wrestler to recover but Inquisitr noted that the recovery period will be around three weeks.

"So Orton will most likely be ready to come back by The Royal Rumble. We could see more of Orton randomly coming out after shows, so do not be surprised to see this if you're in the live crowd at WWE RAW or even at a live event. Orton always could be there, even if unadvertised," the report added.

It may also be expected that he might appear in other WWE programming in the coming weeks though he will not yet fight. Upon his return, he is set to fight Rollins or The Game in the coming months. His presence is much needed in the WWE as fans are eagerly awaiting for what he can offer new into the game.
