It saddened fans when they found out that Sofia Vegara and Nick Loeb split in May, but then she dated hottie Joe Manganiello, and everything seemed perfect between the two.

Sofia took Joe to a birthday treat to Hawaii on Sunday, according to The Daily Mail, and while on the poolside during their holiday, the couple wasn't even being subtle about their PDA - they were spotted enjoying their little vacation with kisses. Apparently, things are absolutely lovely between the lovebirds, because after only six months of dating, they're already engaged, with Sofia flashing a diamond ring on that finger.

According to a source for E! News, Manganiello popped the question at sunset on Christmas eve, gushing, "I've never seen two people so truly in love. The way they talk to each other, touch each other. It's incredible."

Rumors of their engagement had been circling around for a while though, but especially when they went out jewelry shopping earlier in the month and he purchased for her a rose ring worth $640.

The ring on Vergara's finger in Hawaii looked so much more expensive than that, however, as the large, rectangular rock was surrounded by smaller diamonds, nor did it look like the cocktail or friendship rings that Vergara usually wears to promote her jewelry line, So Sofia for Kay Jewelers.

Should the wedding come through, Manganiello will be blissfully wedded to the woman of his dreams, as he previously said that the Modern Family actress is his "celebrity crush," - a little fact that he forgot he admitted publicly. And when [People] magazine came out, by that time, we were seeing each other and when I got the magazine and opened it up and read it, I forgot I said that. I started laughing."

On the same month that he admitted having a crush on Vergara, they became an item, as People pointed out, and their whirlwind romance sparked and continued on burning ever since.

Vergara's response to Manganiello's admission: He revealed that "She was laughing at me. She thought that I was crazy for having said that out loud or said it in the magazine, but you know, I guess it worked."

While Manganiello started dating soon after Vergara and Loeb broke up after two years of engagement, Loeb only had well-wishes for his ex, telling Us Weekly, "She is beautiful and majestic and therefore to be loved."
