Speculated to go by the internal name "Project Zero," the rumored Galaxy S6 continues to collect hearsays as its expected launch date comes closer. This time, the first images of the model have allegedly leaked, and Phone Arena reported that it still contains plastic (click to see).
That's right -- the device still has plastic, but only for its front case. In fact, prospects may be surprised to know that this particular part of the handset could come in a flamboyant hue. The reported leak showcases a bold, fluorescent yellow front, which only suggests how drastic the direction Samsung has taken.
Where did all the rumored metal go, then? Well, look no further, because the assembled Galaxy S6 leak surfaced with an all-aluminum unibody. This coincides with our previous report, which cited the upcoming flagship as a follower of the path taken by the Galaxy Alpha.
More recently, Christian Today took note of another Galaxy S6 concept rendered by designer Hass T. Accordingly, the designer envisioned the model looking more premium, thereby selecting brushed titanium and aluminum surface as the render's casing.
In addition, Hass T. packed a new, hexagonal-shaped speaker at the render's bottom, as well as the Samsung-iconic Super AMOLED screen display.
The Latin Post noted rumors aimed at the device's possibility of sporting two curved edges -- which earlier speculations claimed to be a variation called the "S6 Edge" -- much like the one found in the Galaxy Note Edge. The outlet added that a more-powerful, 4 GB RAM might also be packed in the upcoming flagship.
As we have previously reported, the Galaxy S6 is also rumored to come in a foldable display, and pack the following specs: 16 MP or 20 MP main camera, 5 MP front snapper, Sony's IMX240 camera sensor, Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 / Exynos 7420 chip (two versions) and Android 5.0 Lollipop support.
We have also covered rumors claiming that the device would arrive in a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, 5.5-inch display, 32 GB internal storage and ARM Mali-T760 GPU.
Phone Arena said in another report that the device may be priced at $649 in full payment or $199 under a two-year contract.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 has long been expected to launch at the next Mobile World Congress, dated Mar. 2 - 5 in Barcelona, Spain. Yet Christian Today cited "some reports" claiming that the device may be unveiled at the much-earlier Consumer Electronics Show, dated Jan. 6 - 9 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
