Music producer Mally Mall has revealed one major detail about Nick Cannon's upcoming album, and it seems like Mariah Carey wouldn't like it.
TMZ recently caught up with Mall at the LAX Airport on Wednesday. During the interview, the hip-hop producer revealed that Cannon's new album will be mostly about his ex Carey, and that the songs are going to be controversial.
"Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah, he has a new album coming out," Mall said, as reported by Daily Mail. "He's talking about Mariah on the record, it's gonna be a lot of controversy. In a good way," the producer added, smiling knowingly.
When asked if terrible stuff will come out in the album about the former couple's failed marriage which lasted for six years, Mall replied, "It's both," the news outlet reports.
According to Daily Mail, Cannon is best known as the host of "America's Got Talent". Some of his songs include "Gigolo," "Me Sexy," "Dance Floor," and "Dime Piece."
Carey and Cannon have three-year-old twins named Moroccan and Monroe. TMZ reported that Cannon is "trying to put a good face" to make it appear that he and the "All I Want for Christmas" singer are "better off as friends than as husband and wife."
Hollywood Life also stated that Carey is now more heartbroken than ever because Cannon is getting closer to his friend Kreesha Turner. Despite the ex-couple spending the Thanksgiving holiday together, there were reports that they got into a huge fight over Cannon's "alleged cheating" and his constant appearance with Turner in public.
"Mariah confronted Nick about how humiliated she felt by rumors he cheated," a source told Hollywood Life. "She doesn't want to give up the idea of having a happy family."
In a Christmas concert at New York City on December 15, Carey was seen having a meltdown while singing "Hero." The news outlet reported that the singer had tears on her face and was struggling to breathe during her performance.
Carey was also reportedly spending the holidays alone in Aspen. According to E! Online, she was supposed to spend Christmas with her family, including Cannon, but the pop singer appeared to have changed her mind.
"The original plan had been for the whole family to spend Christmas together in Colorado," E! Online's insider revealed. "However, Mariah has now asked Nick not to come."
The news outlet added that the estranged couple doesn't want their kids to witness them fighting, thus the change of heart.
"It's based on a few things. For starters, they spent Thanksgiving together and fought behind the scenes," the source explained, as reported by E! Online. "How is it healthy for the kids if both parents are technically in the same place but fighting?"
