Selena Gomez recently ended her on-again off-again relationship with Justin Bieber. But it seems like the Canadian crooner isn't tiring on convincing Gomez to take him back. Bieber even made a huge attempt to make the "Come and Get It" singer jealous.

Hollywood Life cited a report from Us Weekly which claimed that Gomez, 22, and Bieber, 20, broke up months ago after she found out that he is flirting with Kendall Jenner, 18. However, a few days after breaking it off with each other, Bieber "crashed a party that he knew Selena was at."

"He was flirting in front of her, doing everything he could to make her jealous," the source revealed, as quoted by Hollywood Life. But after that, Bieber apparently "called her, crying and apologizing," the insider added. Gomez, apparently, wouldn't budge to her ex's pleading text messages.

According to the news outlet, the Canadian crooner "uses his power to get Selena's attention all the time." Bieber is always sending texts to Gomez, with the messages ranging from "Just thinking about you" and then to "Give me another chance." But it seems like the former Disney star knows better than to give in to her ex.

"Selena heard through mutual friends that Justin felt he could get her back at the drop of a hat. Maybe she was like that in the past but not anymore," an insider revealed to Hollywood Life.

Gomez has reportedly decided that Bieber should exert more effort if he truly wants her to take him back, the gossip site reports. She has matured and vowed to herself that she wouldn't look desperate for her former flame again.

"She's infuriated that he actually believes that and made a promise to herself that she wouldn't even consider taking him back unless he made a massive grand gesture. A simple text or phone call won't do. He needs to prove himself to her," Hollywood Life's source further revealed.

"She is never ever going to make herself look so desperate again! Plus, the theme of her new music next year is going to be all about self-empowerment and strong women. No more crying over boys," the insider added, as quoted by the news outlet.

There are also rumors claiming that Gomez is going through anxiety because of her ex dating other girls. The Canadian singer is allegedly dating 18-year-old model Hailey Baldwin. The rumored couple was reportedly spotted together recently on a go-kart date. Gomez's friends, however, are convincing the singer that there is nothing going on between Bieber and Baldwin.
