The winner of the seventh season of "The Voice" has finally been revealed--and it's no other than Craig Wayne Boyd.

Boyd, from Blake Shelton's team, faced three of Adam Levine's mentees in the final leg of the competition. But in the end, Boyd bagged the title and defeated Chris Jamison, Matt McAndrew, and Damien.

Before the results were announced, Boyd sang an original song written by Shelton titled "My Baby's Got a Smile on Her Face." According to Today, Shelton composed the song a long time ago but wasn't able to record it because, "It's so freakin' hard to sing!"

When asked by the news outlet about his big win, Boyd told Today, "It feels wonderful," with a huge grin on his face.

Levine's three artists also put up a good fight to win the competition. McAndrew sang his original song "Wasted Love," which ranked No. 1 on the iTunes top chart by the end of the show's Monday night airing. Levine complimented the track, saying that it was "amazing" and that it was "one of the best songs" he's ever heard, Today reports. McAndrew came close to winning "The Voice," as he was announced as the second placer.

Jamison, who placed third, showed off his falsetto range with a sexy R&B track titled "Velvet," which was "well-received by the ladies in the audience, as well as the coaches," according to Today. Wild Card round winner and fourth placer Damien, on the other hand, stood out with his performance of his original song "Soldier."

"The gospel-inspired song allowed Damien to show off his impressive range and, while it didn't chart nearly as high as the original songs performed by Boyd and McAndrew, it certainly earned raves on Twitter." Today notes.

Boyd's coach, Shelton, was enthusiastic about the artist's big win, E! Online reports. When asked during a press conference after the show's season seven finale, Shelton said that it was "f*cking awesome" to defeat his fellow coach and good friend Levine.

"Listen, I don't care if it's politically incorrect. I don't give a crap at this point because we went into this thing with the odds stacked against us," Shelton told E! Online . "And I'm not talking about to beat Adam, it's just awesome to know that so many people connected with this guy with the odds against him to win this competition...This was mission impossible and [Craig] did it."

Boyd's victory was Shelton's fourth win as a mentor on "The Voice". The show has been on air for seven seasons, the news outlet notes.

Other big names in the music industry also performed during the season finale, which included Bruno Mars, Jennifer Hudson, Ed Sheeran, Mark Ronson, Meghan Trainor, and Fall Out Boy, according to Today.
