Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez just wanted more playtime when he transferred from Manchester United to Real Madrid.

But things didn't go as planned - he had three goals in 149 minutes in the La Liga. With Jese Rodriguez back from injury, that could slide down even more, Goal.com noted.

The report added that he had gone down in the priority list when David Moyes took over the team in May 2013, after they signed him pre-World Cup in 2010 for his excellent record in the 2009-2010 season.

In the Spanish team, only Karim Benzema was thought to be higher in the ladder, Goal.com wrote.

"The 2013-14 season was a low for 'Chicharito,' as he himself admitted, and the sudden loan to Real Madrid was greeted with relief and natural enthusiasm considering the size of the club," the report explained.

"Chicharito is playing well," continued Goal.com, except coach Carlo Ancelotti is using him for games they could easily win, and not against bigwigs like Barcelona and Atletico Madrid — all this as his contract with Manchester United is scheduled to run out after the 2015-2016 season and the Madrid transfer only good for a year.

Hernandez managed only one start and five substitutes, said ESPN FC. With that in mind, he said he is seeking assurances of a more prominent role with the next team.

"Wherever I am playing next season, I will make sure I have those sort of assurances," he told Daily Mail. "I am not sure what will happen in the summer yet, but whatever happens I need guarantees. I am 26 now — in the summer I will be 27 — I must be at a club where I am going to be playing regularly."

This would seem to indicate that Madrid is not planning on taking him in permanently after the one-year loan, which Air Herald now confirms.

According to the report, Ancelotti can only offer a substitute spot and is not impressed by Hernandez. With this, Hernandez will be able to sign with any team in the transfer window in January. Arsenal, Everton, Liverpool and Tottenham are eyeing him, it added.

In the meantime, Ancelotti assured fans that Hernandez would play against Cruz Azul in the Club World Cup scheduled on Tuesday in Marrakech.

"He will play an important role," Ancelotti said, per Tribal Football. "I'm not sure how many minutes he'll play but I'm sure he'll help the team out in the tournament."
