More and more devices are hopping the Lollipop bandwagon as Christmas draws closer. Everyone's talking about Android's sweetest OS the moment its public roll-out was announced. We've heard devices receiving the upgrade and unofficial firm builds making entry to other smartphones.

This month, Samsung's current S-line flagship Galaxy S5 is expected to receive Android 5.0 Lollipop, wrote Christian Today. On the other hand, the metal-framed Galaxy Note 4, once hinted to get the update likewise in December, was noted by the outlet to get its upgrade next month instead.

However, it's interesting to find out that a Galaxy Note 3 user in Vietnam already had Lollipop running in his device, as reported by Phone Arena. Accordingly, the user received the new OS as an OTA update (meaning, it's official and final). The source cited an earlier information which revealed that some of Samsung's high-end devices are set to get Lollipop early in 2015. If the claim holds true, Note 3 in Vietnam could be an early exception.

In an earlier report, Tech Times listed the following devices as running Android 5.0 Lollipop: Motorola's Nexus 6, HTC's Nexus 9, HTC One M7 Google Play Edition, HTC One M8 Google Play Edition, Moto X, Moto G and Moto E. The outlet pointed that Motorola was able to deliver the upgrade to Moto X, Moto G and Moto E as soon as Google initiated the roll-out. Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 originally ship with Lollipop.

Sony is set to roll Lollipop out for a plethora of Z-devices that include Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR, Xperia Tablet Z, Xperia Z1, Xperia Z1S, Xperia Z1 Compact, Xperia Z2, Xperia Z2 Tablet, Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3v, Xperia Z3 Compact and the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact.

Citing French carrier SFR, Christian Today took note of LG's G3 Lollipop update to be "coming soon."

In the meantime, Google has released the Android 5.0.1 update to AOSP and factory images for the Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 6, Nexus 7, Nexus 9 and Nexus 10. Android Central provided the following OTA links below:

Future devices expected to run Android 5.0 Lollipop include Samsung's Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, HTC's One M9, One M9 Prime and LG's G4.
