Pixar's chief creative officer John Lasseter is excited for the fourth film in the hit "Toy Story" franchise. In an article from Santa Cruz Sentinel, Lasseter noted that the fourth film will focus on a love story where the last one left off, as Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and the rest of the gang are handed on to a little girl named Bonnie.

Despite the challenges that putting up another film will face, Lasseter insists that the project is for "pure passion." He said, "we only make sequels when we have a story that's as good as, or better than, the original."

The challenges that the next film will face are not only difficult, too. According to What Culture, "Toy Story 4" faces challenges of epic proportions, many of them some plot points that wew want to happen, and here are some of them:

1)    A major plot that will make the fourth film seem relevant. We don't know how Pixar can figure it out, but whatever it is, it has to continue where the film left off, because with Andy passing on his beloved toys to a little girl as he goes off to college, there really isn't more to it. But then Lasseter did say there's a love story involved, so who knows?

2)    Add iconic characters from Marvel and Star Wars, but without looking like they're selling out. With the Marvel's cinematic universe being a big deal these days and Star Wars unfolding for the forseeable future, it would be great to see Tony Stark, Captain America, Darth Vader, Yoda, and the rest of the cast from the iconic franchises in toy versions. But with "The Lego Movie" starting that movement, it may be a long shot to say the least.

3)    Make Bonnie a character to root for. One of the major reasons why we loved Toy Story is that the toys are fiercely loyal to Andy, and with a likeable little boy like that, it's no wonder that they will do everything to get back to him. The toys almost died getting back to their owner, the least that Pixar could do is make Bonnie a character that not only the toys, but also the audience will root for as much as they did Andy.

4)    Top the ending of "Toy Story 3". Because the bittersweet farewell between Andy and Woody was all we had to watch before we started crying all over again. Such sadness and realness of letting go of something you hold dear is something that we can all relate to. "Toy Story 4" needs to follow through from the events of 3, but at the same time, it should be as completely apart from it as possible so as to make an ending that could compete with Andy's last farewell to his prized possessions.

5)    Transition to other Toys in the franchise. Sure, Buzz and Woody are iconic as icons can be, but with new characters introduced to the film, it will put it apart from Andy's era and put the fourth film apart from the first three with Andy.

What else do you want to see happen in the next Toy Story?
