For those of you who think modern comedy films and television shows are garbage, offensive and inappropriate, a handful of old comedic legends are here to help. Surviving members of the Monty Python troupe with reunite for a stage show, according to the BBC. Since Terry Jones, Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle and Michael Palin first introduced “Monty Python’s Flying Circus” to British television in 1969, there have been various Monty Python stage shows, films and albums that have kept fans laughing for decades. They’re cherished and highly regarded not only in the comedic realm, but throughout all facets of entertainment. People mourned when they dissipated. They were heartbroken, but now they’re coming back.

The five surviving members, which include Cleese, Gilliam, Idle, Jones and Palin, are putting together another stage show, and it wasn’t easy getting the gang back together. As of August, Cleese told the Los Angeles Times that “It’s too difficult geographically.” He said added that Palin was “forever traveling” and Gilliam was raising money at film festivals or directing. Jones was busy with his own cluster of activities and Idle had settled down in Los Angeles. But somehow they pulled it off, and now fans can only hope that they haven’t lost their luster and can live up to their legend.

As of now, there are no details on what form the stage show will take, when it will debut, or if there’s even a script for that matter. All we know is that they’re getting back together, and that should be enough cause for excitement as it is. For now.
