On the latest "Grey's Anatomy," Callie stood trial and her relationship with Arizona took a new turn. 

In "Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word," Callie (Sara Ramirez) is being sued by former Olympic snowboarder Travis Reed. Callie did a hip replacement on the former snowboarder, but complications during surgery led to an infection that cost him both his legs.

The trial begins badly, and Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) walks into the courtroom to find Callie in tears. Arizona manages to cheer her up a bit. The episode then flashes back to Arizona and Callie's decision to have a second baby, which Arizona volunteers to carry.

Back in the present day, Callie is drinking after the terrible first day of the trial when her father comes knocking at her door. She admits to him that she and Arizona split up.

In court the next day, Callie testifies that she did apologize to Travis after his double amputation. In another flashback, Arizona's pregnancy is not successful, and she says she doesn't want to try again.

In the present day, Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) forbids Callie from confessing in court that just that day, she received a letter dated three weeks before the surgery that states that the hip replacement surgery was causing infections and was therefore being discontinued. In the end, Callie is found not guilty.

That night, Callie's dad tells her that he cheated on her mother, but they stayed together because they believed they were "stronger than one mistake." His advice leads Callie straight to Arizona's hotel room, where she tells her to move back in with her. But what she didn't know is that behind the hotel room door is Leah, the person whom Arizona has been sleeping with.

On the next episode, "Somebody That I Used to Know," "Ben (Jason George) worries that a casual conversation with Derek (Patrick Dempsey) could potentially cause issues for Bailey (Chandra Wilson), Cristina turns to Shane as tension grows with Meredith, and April's (Sarah Drew) upcoming wedding makes for an uncomfortable situation between Jackson (Jesse Williams) and Stephanie (Jerrika Hinton). Meanwhile, Meredith plans a Thanksgiving dinner at her house."

Sara Ramirez also gave an inside scoop to TVLine about her character's reaction upon learning Arizona has been seeing Leah, as well as who Callie's rebound relationship will be with. 

TVLine also reports that Alex's estranged father, played by James Remar, will return later on in the season.
