The Air Jordan 13 Retro is treating collectors to another colorway this coming Saturday.

In Black/Gym Red-Black, the new colorway is "...[b]ased on an early sample that only keen-eyed Jordan aficianados remember," said Nike.com, where it will be available for $185 at one pair per customer beginning 8 a.m. (5 a.m. PST).

It will be available on retailers globally, among them Packer Shoes. Sneaker Crew, meanwhile, is accepting pre-orders.

"...[T]he newest colorway of the Air Jordan 13 Retro brings back a black leather and suede upper with Gym Red pods," the Nike report explained. It will also be available in gradeshool (3.5Y-7Y), preschool (10.5c-3Y) and toddler (2c-10c) sizes, at $130, $80 and $60, respectively.

The new pair of kicks "adds a twist to the classic 'Playoff' scheme," said Sole Collector. It explained that the shoes' mainly black outer skin is made of tumbled leather and suede, with the Jumpman branding and the midsole pods in red, making the colorway only slightly different from "Bred."

Sneaker News also noted the likeness with Bred, saying those who liked that colorway might also like this one. It claimed that while there is a close resemblance, the new release still sets itself apart.

"[It] takes on the unbeatable [Chicago] Bulls color-combo and reconstitutes it onto the popular thirteenth model of the Air Jordan legacy," the report detailed. "Even with three other OG versions of the Black/Red/White Air Jordan 13 (Playoffs, Bred, and Home), this new colorway stands out and has the chops to be regarded among the originals."

It has gained praises in the Sole Collector report, with one saying: "dopest I've seen from JB in a long time. I'd love to cop these. I don't know how since it's damn near impossible to these days," and another saying he'll get two pairs.

However, there are also negative notes, including that of Robbie Kelsey Taylor, who said: "...these are UGLY AS F*@!. They remind me of a woman's nails painted with a weak-ass red nail polish. I don't see what all the hype is about with the 13's. There's only been two nice looking colorways -- the grey-toe and the BIN 23 PREMIO. That's IT" More thant one commenter also declared it was "Trash."

Weartesters is on the fence, saying it can't really decide that the colorway is good or bad. It did say that it was "okay looking."

If you're also on the fence, consider this: The model is among the last AJ Retros to hit the market before the brand remasters its models starting 2015, possibly altering even the silhouette, as the Jordan Brand announced it will hike its prices, reported another Sole Collector article -- at presstime the mini survey says 91 percent of those who cast their votes would buy a pair.

Will you buy the AJ 13 Retro "Black/Gym Red," or will you wait for the remastered ones?
