Justin Bieber is changing something to be brighter, but unfortunately, the brighter thing is just lighter shade of hair as he went from brunette to a platinum blonde.

Of course, fans of the 20-year-old were shocked by the stint, but they were loving it, too. Beliebers all around the world stood by his side despite the drastic change, even supporting a worldwide Twitter trend with #WeLoveYourNewHairJustin. The hashtag started trending worldwide since December 5^th, and fans have been sweetly tweeting the pop singer.

According to the Daily Mail, Bieber debuted his new look when he made an appearance of the West Coast Customs store opening in Burbank California, sporting a black asymmerytical T-shirt over a long grey shirt, and black leather trousers. He completed his ensemble with a pair of red and black plaid sneakers.

The singer then posted a photo of his new appearance at the shop, inviting fans to join him at the opening.

It is unclear when the singer decided to dye his dark locks, but the Daily Mail noted that a day before he made his appearance at the store opening, he was seen treating himself to a trip to Venice Beach and skateboarding with some of his pals, his hair hidden away with a beanie.

It seems that this is the change that Justin has been looking for since his breakup with Selena Gomez. A source for Hollywood Life said, "Justin said he needed to 'shake things up' in his life. Justin thought it would be a fun way to find out if blonds do have more fun, and when he saw his hair for the first time, he thought it looked 'really cool and dope'."

Mirror UK also wrote in an article quoting a source saying, "He was with a few buddies, just guys, and seemed like he was in really good mood." It added, "he said a close friend dared him to do it."

But while Bieber has been shaking things up from his breakup, Selena Gomez decided to do something less drastic, and opted to lean on one of the people she looked up to in the midst of the drama.

Selena posted a photo on Instagram in a sweet hug with Jennifer Aniston, captioning it, "I have not only been following her career as a fan since I was 8 and now get to watch her completely transform in her new movie CAKE, I have gotten to have real conversations with such a real heart, made my entire year. #cake #goseeit"
