Melanie Griffith will not be watching her daughter Dakota Johnson's breakthrough film "Fifty Shades of Grey."

The 57-year-old actress said that her daughter has forbidden her from watching the movie, according to TMZ. Griffith revealed the news to the paparazzi as she was leaving West Hollywood restaurant Madeo on Tuesday night.

"No, I will not be seeing it," she told the photographers. "Because my daughter doesn't want me to. And I don't think it will be appropriate."

Griffith made her start in Hollywood by portraying a porn star in the 1984 film "Body Double." Daily Mail reported that the career move proved successful for the then-budding young actress. She had nude roles in numerous 70's films and throughout her career, among those are "Fear City" and "Working Girl," Cinema Blend noted.

Dakota Johnson Concerned About 'Fifty Shades of Grey' Role?

Johnson, who will play Anastasia Steele in the movie opposite Jamie Dornan's title character Christian Grey, expressed concern about her raunchy role in the flick. According to Daily Mail, the erotic S&M movie attracted harsh words from critics.

"Dakota was so hopeful for this film, but she's read the trailer review - and it's not looking good," the news outlet quoted a Star Magazine insider. "She took a big risk with Fifty Shades, but she's afraid she's made a modern-day 'Showgirls,' that she's stuck in a film everyone will make fun of."

Another report from Radar Online claimed that aside from her mother, the 25-year-old actress also didn't permit other members of her family to watch her kinky movie. According to the report, Johnson forbade dad Don Johnson and grandmother Tippi Hendren from watching "Fifty Shades of Grey." She only allowed her 18-year-old half-sister Stella Banderas.

The plot of the movie will revolve around a literature student (Anastasia Steele) who begins a sexual relationship with the wealthy and mysterious Christian Grey. "As they grow closer and closer, she learns more about Grey's need to control every little thing in his life," Cinema Blend reported.

The sensual film is directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson and will also star Eloise Mumford, Luka Grimes, Rita Ora, and Marcia Gay Harden, the news outlet noted. It is slated to be released in theaters on February 13, 2015. The movie is based on British author E.L. James trilogy novels titled "Fifty Shades of Grey," "Fifty Shades Darker," and "Fifty Shades Freed."
