A German magazine's front-cover photo of injured racer Michael Schumacher wearing sunglasses and a winter coat captioned, "What luck! He sits in the sun!" has been getting a lot of criticisms, reports said.

According to the Telegraph, the magazine allegedly tricked its readers to believe that the cover photo was Schumacher's first released image after suffering serious injuries when he figured in a ski accident in the French Alps last December.

It has been reported that the German magazine also featured a photo of Schumacher's wife Corinna pushing him while he is in a wheelchair. But Telegraph claimed that the photo was actually taken in St Moritz, Switzerland, months before the accident.

Many publications tagged the photo as a deceptive way to lure readers to read the magazine with Motorsport.com saying "How low can you go: it seems that there is no limit for certain publications. The majority of readers will not notice the date of the photograph which is written in small typeface."

Sports Mole said that Schumacher has not been seen in public since the accident because he was placed in an induced coma for about nine months. For the past month, his manager Sabine Kehm claimed that the racer is already making progress in his Geneva home though it has been reported that he has trouble speaking and has some difficulty remembering things.

"I can only say again that the family is very happy and touched by the sympathetic messages.I believe that positive energy does them good. We appreciate the condolences from around the world," she was quoted as saying by The Mirror.

The Telegraph report noted that Schumacher is being cared for by his wife with a team of physiotherapists, doctors, nutritionists, nurses and neurological experts looking into his condition.

An earlier Independent report indicated that Schumacher is already recovering from his coma caused by his severe head injuries. Though the recovery is slow, sources close to the family revealed that that racer is continuously fighting his situation.

According to French F1 commentator Jean-Louis Moncet, he has talked to Schumacher's son Schumi who confirmed that his dad is waking up slowly.

"Although things are going at a slow pace, he has a lot of time, I would say he has his whole life in front of him to get back on track," Moncet added.

Everybody is hoping that things will get better for Schumacher and for him to get back on his feet again and truly enjoy the sun with his family beside him.
