Spotted: Samsung Galaxy Note 4 housed the new Android 5.0 Lollipop, as reported by Phone Arena. The outlet cited a series of leaked screenshots which displayed the phablet's apparent possession of Android's latest dessert offering, masked by the noticeably revamped look of the TouchWiz Nature UX 3.0. The OS appears to be an early firmware build, which of course, is something which everybody can't have just yet.

Based on the leaked photos, Phone Arena said that Note 4's TouchWiz has been designed according to Lollipop's guidelines and ever-celebrated Material Design.

GSMArena also took note of Lollipop's appearance on the Google Play Edition of Samsung's Galaxy S4. The source wrote that the OS reportedly runs stable with the model, hinting that the build is close to a final version.

Again, it must be noted that these versions of Lollipop isn't final yet -- majority of Note 4 and S4 users would still need to wait for the OS's official arrival.

PCWorld believed that the update mattered for Samsung, since the Korean tech giant remained to sell smartphones despite its recent financial downslope.

Over the previous months, Samsung has been cited by Gotta Be Mobile to focus on the roll-out of KitKat updates -- from Android 4.4.2 to Android 4.4.4 among Galaxy devices. This premise makes the current reports interesting, as Samsung may have chosen to remain silent all these time. Galaxy devices may be surprised to find out sooner than expected that Lollipop has been served.

SamMobile noted that Galaxy S4 originally came with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, which was eventually updated to Android 4.4 KitKat. KitKat's latest version ran Galaxy Note 4 from October, said TechRadar.

As reported by Android Pit, Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Moto X (2014) and Moto G have already received the official Lollipop update.

Also known as Android L, the Android 5.0 Lollipop was announced by the company's official blog to begin rollout Nov. 3. HTC's Nexus 9 and Motorola's Nexus 6 naturally shipped with the OS, while older Nexus models received it as an update. Motorola handsets slated to get Lollipop included Moto X, Moto G, Droid Turbo, Moto G 4G LTE, Droid Ultra, Droid Maxx, Droid Mini and Moto E.

The OS is expected to arrive in the current Samsung S-line flagship Galaxy S5 by December, wrote GSMArena.

As we have previously covered, the rumored Samsung Galaxy S6 is another device that may arrive with the new OS.

In the meantime, check out this preview of Android 5.0 Lollipop in Galaxy S5 (via SamMobiles) below. Photos of the OS on Note 4 and S4 follow.
