Iran and Lebanon will face off in the AFC Asian Cup qualifiers on Tuesday.

After losing 5-0 against Iran, Lebanon defeated Thailand 5-2 and tied Kuwait 1-1; a 0-0 draw with Kuwait was the result in the team's fourth match of qualifiers. Lebanon can secure third place in the group if it manages to defeat Iran or if Thailand loses or draws against Kuwait. Furthermore, Lebanon must win in order to have any hopes of finishing atop the group or even in the top two. A loss would clinch the top spot for Iran and would give Kuwait a chance to secure second place in the group.
