Fans of the popular epic space opera franchise "Star Wars" are about to have the time of their lives. The trailer for the highly anticipated "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" is coming this Friday.
Inquisitr published a report saying that the international teaser for "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" or "Episode 7" was released on YouTube on November 24. But the news outlet claimed that the two-minute sneak peek was fake, as pointed out by Matt Lyons of Moargeek. According to Lyons, the upcoming "Star Wars" trailer scheduled to be released on Friday will be 88 seconds long, a far cry from the 111-second duration of the fake sneak peek.
"A nice touch by the creator to make it seem real, but that mixed with sloppy editing with generic fade in/fade out cuts points heavily to a fan made fake," Lyons explained, as quoted by Inquisitr.

The official Twitter account of the film announced on Wednesday, November 27, the actual release of the teaser, saying, "The Force is with you on #BlackFriday when #TheForceAwakens teaser hits @iTunesTrailers."
The Verge reports that Lucasfilm, the production company behind the film, previously stated that fans would have to go to 30 selected movie theaters in order to see the trailer, but it looks like that initial plan have been changed.
Cast and Plot Details
Even though the trailer is about to debut soon, fans will still have to wait for a year for "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." The film is scheduled to be released in 3D and 2D theaters on December 18, 2015.
The movie is directed by J.J. Abrams, and will star original cast members Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker, Mirror reports. John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Gwendoline Christie (of "Game of Thrones"), and Oscar-winning actress Lupita Nyong'o will join the original team.
Walt Disney Studios and Lucasfilm, the production companies behind the movie, previously stated that the film "will star a trio of young leads," the news outlet reports.
According to Mirror, the plot of the upcoming "Star Wars" film is set 30 years after 1983's "Episode 6: Return of the Jedi," which concluded with the death of Darth Vader or Anakin Skywalker.
"The film also saw Harrison Ford's Han Solo finally get together with Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher), as it was revealed Leia is Luke's sister," Mirror added. This storyline will put the characters in their 50s, which now coincide with the original actors' current ages.
