Potential trade deals of the Los Angeles Lakers reveal that the team may get rid of some of its players, including newly-acquired Jeremy Lin and injured Steve Nash.

The team is currently on a 3-11 record for this season and it is obvious that they are not performing the best that they can. Nash has been declared out for the rest of the season because of his back injury.

ESPN cited sources, claiming that "The Los Angeles Lakers have been granted a $4.85 million disabled player exception by the NBA for Steve Nash, who is out for the season with a back injury."

Sports World News said Nash is already on his final year of his contract with the Lakers and it is highly possible that he could be traded to another team for financial considerations.

"The Lakers plan on spending money next summer and moving Nash could be an option, as they likely will chase Marc Gasol and Rajon Rondo on the free agent market," Sports World News added.

The report added that Greg Monroe and Marc Gasol will also become free agents and that the Lakers and other teams will likely chase after them.

Another possibility being eyed is for the Lakers to get Kevin Love, but it seems that the Cavaliers will keep him in the coming years, especially since he is slowly adjusting to the game plan of the Cavs and contributing points to the team.

As for Lin, Lakers Nation cited a tweet by Jon Bloom of Arizona Sports 98.7 who claimed that a "blockbuster trade" involving Eric Bledsoe is imminent. The report said that the Phoenix Suns player is being eyed by the Lakers to transfer to the team but they are still in the process of determining his trade partner.

Bloom posted, "My source in L.A. is pushing Lakers to offer Julius Randle, Jordan Hill & 1st Rd Pick from Lin deal in sign & trade for Bledsoe. #Hmmmm"

It was noted that for any team expressing interest to trade for Bledsoe, they should be ready to pay his contract.

"Recently, it was reported that the Phoenix Suns were far apart on a new deal with Bledsoe. The 24-year-old was looking for a five-year deal worth $80 million. It doesn't appear that the Suns are willing to pay that amount, especially with two capable point guards already on the roster in Goran Dragic and the recently signed Isaiah Thomas," Lakers Nation added.
